At the beginning of the Homeland War, Kordun factory from Croatian city Karlovac started production of several knives based on well known and popular knives. One of them was Sokol which design was based on Buck-184 knife.
Officially, phosphorized blades with HV (Croatian Army) logo were made for military and same models with polished blades and without HV logo were made for the civilian market. As military needed large quantities of knives all variants were sent to them.
